Case Study: Clover

Background: As a part of my certificate, I was tasked with designing a user experience that would help people learn how to cook healthier meals.

Year: 2021

Role :UX, UI Designer

Tools: Adobe XD, Google Sheets

Research: Early qualitative-based surveys showed some common themes between users:

Nearly all users expressed that recipe websites are often plagued with too much information. Rather than getting straight to the point of the meal, websites will often give background or stories about the recipe and even throw in ads before getting to the recipe. Users explained they would prefer a website that gets exactly to the content.

Persona: Isaac S.

Age: 27 Education: B.A (Communication)
Hometown: Austin, Texas
Family: Married, No Kids
Occupation: P.R Rep

Isaac: “When using recipe websites, I often find myself going through tons of unnecessary filler content(stories about the recipe) and sometimes end up leaving the site because of it.”

Goals:
Use a simple recipe platform that gets straight to the point and provides great content.
Frustrations:
Does not enjoy when recipe websites add to much unnecessary information or avoids the actual recipe .  Onto early prototyping:

Moving forward

Impact:

Although this project was lengthy and difficult to accomplish alone. I felt that it was a worthwhile endeavor in order to help build my skills and show that I understand the fundamentals of UX.

What I learned:

Sometimes it can be really difficult to transition from mobile to a website. Practice makes this an easier process.
